with reference to the Memorandum of the Moeting held at Goverment House on 19th November con- cerning Armed Launches for patrol of the west River, I have the honour to inform you that I have this day recommended to the Admiralty that the proposals con- tained therein should receive their approval and request- ed that authority be given for the charters of these three vessels to be renewed as soon as possible for the period of one year, the date the Colonial overment contribution is to commence being arranged locally as soon as Their Lordships' decision on the matter is com-

municated.
